Ego 09 Power trouble.

Hi,Had a few problems with my Ego 09 turning itself off recently.
I've tried to narrow it down; It fires fine single shot with eyes on,
but when I try to ramp, something cuts out after 2 seconds or so.
Sometimes it will ramp fine but this is rare. I can ramp it fine with
just gas, no paint, with the eyes off. It also fires fine with paint
with the eyes off, albeit a few expected chops.
It was happening with a Duracell battery that was about half way gone,
but also kept happening after i changed for a new Duracell.
Any ideas/recommendations?
Thanks :)

Not messed with any settings too much, most i have done is take it down to 10.4bps, and put avg shot count on the front screen.
The battery connects fine and fits perfectly. The only thing worth saying is that on one of the eyes there is a 'pinch' in the rubber sheath. There's no way to be sure but as I only seem to have the problem when the eyes are on, could they be the problem?

Yes could well be.

Make sure there is no gas attached to the marker and then turn the marker on. If you put your finger down the feedneck. Does it show a ball in the breech on the screen. (0) Zero should be a black dot on the screen.

Another option is if you know some one else who has PE marker try their eye's

Are the eyes clean if there is a bit of dirt this and effect the eyes.

Or are the eye's correctly fitted under the eye covers.

New battery ! and a good one at that.
I had the same problem, I tried a new Procell but that didn't help. So I stuck in a new Duracell and it worked fine. I suppose it could have been something else like a connection, but at that point I had made sure that all the connections were secure.

Yeah the eyes detect my finger and paint; I can fire single shot all day no problem, it's just the ramping with eyes on.
I will hopefully try someone else's eyes this or next weekend which should be interesting. I've cleaned the eyes and they are fitted correctly.
@DrunkZombie, I've tried a new battery although I don't know how old it was so I'm going to try 2 other new ones I bought the other day. I always use Duracells. Was your problem exactly the same? It just strikes me as odd how it ramps fine without eyes on.
Thanks for the replies :)

Another option is...
Try another ramping mode to see it that works.
If it does then look at what the settings are like in the other mode. If all else fails reset the gun. (factory mode) This will reset you shot count!!!!
