There's a possibility one of the QEV diaphragms has become unseated or the QEV is blocked by debris (stuff gets into the rammer chamber and gets sent into the QEV block), although I'd normally expect leaks in that situation. It's really easy to do, and I'd explain, but I think the manual does a better job. You'll need an oring pick or safety pin to get the clips off, but once you've done that you can just pull the assembly out really easily and have a look. Considering the problem is a lack of force behind your rammer (at least I would say that's your problem), it's worth checking out. If your friends have an ego8, try swapping the grip frames around to see if it's your board, while we're eliminating problems here. OR, send it off to planet, who will definately fix it for you.
