Ego '07

Tried the '07 2day...that much different..I don't think so
Keeping my '05 ..
All I can say is that the '07 needs sorting amd my gat rips,well happy save some money,but I did try it....

What did you not like about the 07? What needs "sorting"?

All markers these days "rip"...but, the 07 is far superior to the 05, in terms of technology, refinement, weight etc...that isnt my opinion, it's fact.

So just curious as to what you didn't like about it?

technology!? its the same technology in all the ego's, just smaller in some than others

Nothing was wrong with the 07 Skeet.

It belongs to the site owner and clearly has had very little use. So much so that I have purchased it

As we all know markers take a while to bed in from new. Likewise settings need to be tweked after break in to achieve the optimal performance.

When you get used to a specific marker anything else you try seems different and often not as good the first few times it's used.

At the end of the day an 07 is essentially a lighter and tighter 05.

I'm not denying it's prolly better in some aspects,but it's like comfotable slippers/flip flops it takes a while to bed in.
I went with an open mind and the money to purchase and quite frankly when it didn't wow me that done it for me.
Personally I didn't think it was that much better,and from what I heard it should been an instant improvement.
The weight is not that noticeable,the grip is thinner,more refined in which areas?
Skeet as for it being fact thats what the dealers have to tell you,if it was advertised the same as last years model they wouldn't sell many,or be able to hoike the price up.

If a dealer tells me something, I don't always believe it, until I see it myself...though with Eclipse, I would be inclined to take Jacks word for it, and now having been inside several 05 an 06 Ego's and now several 07's...I would have to agree.

The QEV is better, the gun is thinner and lighter, less parts (no rammer body), better firing cycle, better Solenoid, etc...it's just better.
My 07, is much nicer to shoot, than even my beloved 05 XSV which I had setup very well.

The thing is, the original Ego's, were and are so good, that any improvements would be incremental and possibly a little anal in their nature.

I am not, belittling your opinion etc, I was just curious as to why you felt the 07 wasn't a joy to behold.

That's prolly all it is m8.
But I wasn't wow'ed by it,I should've been,shouldn't I.
I do like my '05 and I couldn't see that the 7 was betterto play with.
As you say the 7 is better in areas,but the only area that interests me is when I'm playing.
The 5 has never let me down (consistency sorted with a reg kit) and I'll happily continue to play with it,perhaps a silly board(cheers Lump).
The Ego family is a credit to the designers/builders and there ain't a lot wrong with their first one....

i have to agree with tiffer on this, i have shot three 07's, two with zick kits, and one stock (lovetone's old one, the ODD ego that lump brought over from the US, a team members zick kitted one).

Now i have owned 2 05's, and i have to say, i hated them. But i bought a 06 for winter as a back up to my Dm6 (which slowly died today in the cold). And it has totally changed my view on Ego's, its shoot amazing, and doesn't feel like a Ego. Now with the 07's, i didnt feel attacthed to them, but only as if i was a passenger on the ride. i dont think i could justify spending that amount of money on a 07/08 with out feeling right with the marker, and sometimes that's just it, if it doesn't feel right, sell the bugger on.
