I've done a search and found nowt. I've changed the battery, factory reset the settings, lpr is flush and gun has been cleaned and lubed. Basically, I was at cpps today and over the chrono my ego was shooting all over the place it would be 284, 290, 277, 295, 305, 290, 301. Any idea's what it could be, I could only think it might be a bad paint barrel match. Using Celtic in a Dye ultralite. Rolling a ball through would either go straight through or only just stick, so the match could be a little tighter.

Was the 9v battery good?

Another suspect is the inline reg - when was it last cleaned and re-greased?

My old 05 was good for about +/- 3fps on good paint

Duracell 9v (not procell) new as per practice session 4 weeks ago, gauge on lcd is showing one line gone from the battery indicator. Reg stripped a couple a months ago, need to double check the shim stack as it fell out as I stripped it. Wonder if I haven't assembled it correctly and this would be the symptom. As you said, expected variation should be a lot less perhaps +/- 5 FPS.

Rob, The stack should go in as follows

)()()()()()()()(

Eclipse oil (or equivalent) on stack + vasaline on o-rings

# Try a new new new out of the wrapper battery. My 09 was turning itself off - thought it was a loose connection as the screen showed nearly full battery, but.... it was the battery.
# Also make sure your not using different paint (the same paint from the same box) as they can be different sizes.
# When your using the chrono, fire off a few shots after changing the HPR, before re-'chronoing' (?)

You probably already know that but just making sure :)
