Ego 05 / 06

only the last few 06 egos had maniac as standard, this was (some might say) a perk to provoke buying at the end of the markers retail life, making way for the 07 stock.
Still, an 05 EGO is sweet, but the 06 has some refinements.
If you arent bothered about a spring trigger, snatch grip, bigger finger spare, better detents (pennies to replace tbh) and slightly easier to understand debounce settings, by all means get an 05 for about £200

From what I have heard the 05 is slightly lighter than the 06.
Pesonally I would go with the 06 as somehow it feels better to hold

i think you'll find 05s on the forums for about £170 ish. for that price its worth getting and just upgrade parts as and when you feel it would make a difference to your play.

got an '05 and love it,tried the '07 and didn't like it(remember the flaming),can't explain why as I stated b4,suppose it's like comfortable slippers vs new ones.
The '05 is chunkier and doesn't look as flimsy,can't comment on the '06 m8 as I've not had one.
Should have mentioned it @ Wycombe you could've had a go with mine.
Got Tadeo board in it,cure bolt,Unitec barrels and I must agree with the Dark Weirdo ,buy the '05 and spend the difference on upgrades.
Personally I wouldn't sell my 05 to buy another model...at this moment in time anyway....

the only noticable difference between the 05 and the 06 i found from shooting both is the HPR on the 06 is longer and feels nicer to hold (personal preference)
I must add that I fitted the Taddy and the cure after I decided to keep it...May I,
