Mine's broke on both the battery cover and the left shell side where the cover clips in. If i see a replacement side and cover then I'll pick one up at a tourney but currently I don't mind using the tape......ghetto indeed.

Never had a neck break on them though. What I like about the egg is that if stuff breaks it's not rocket science to bodge it to make it work. Whereas HALOs are a bit more complex and getting replacement parts can be a bit of a pig's ear.

the reason i dumped my halo was down to it being a bitch to strip clean quickly....where as the egg i can get my whole hand and a cloth into (ive got small hands).

another handy tip for eggs and indeed all other hoppers is put some tape (black electrians tape on black hoppers or clear selotape on clear ones) over the screw holes! saves a whole lot of cleaning after a days spray! and less hassel between games

Word, how many pros in other sportrs do you see using trape to fix their gear? Although, it would be funny as hell to see a McLaren F-1 with a duct taped and JB welded spoiler. I love the eggos but for the love of God, somebody please do something about that damn battery cover. I can tell you from experiance that it sucks pretty hard to have your loader pop open in the middle of a slide and dump your batts into the mud.

A little tip, insert batteries, push down on the egg with the batteries (without the cover on  )resting on a table, this will bend the battery connectors a little and relieve the tension on the battery door.
Disclaimer: You break it, your fault not mine :D
