EBAY Banning sale of Paintball Markers

Ebay do opperate over 18s use only policies but the only mean sthey take to prevent use from under 18's is to ask for credit card details when setting up an account using a free online web mail service such as hotmail or yahoo.co.uk. If you sign up with an e-mail address provided by ur isp they assume u are 18 which i spose is not all that well thought out but hey i didnt complain a few years back so im not going to now.

Ebay got a load of bad publicity recently due to the illegal sale of firearms not so long ago. Police had a big crackdown on buyers of guns from e-bay. So it's probably got suthin to do with that.

I know guns don't = markers but someone mentioned ebay being lazy They ain't the only ones doing it Ryan Air have now wrote it in and other airlines maybe following in late 2005. Sucks really.

But as it ends on 21st does this mean it could get deleted before the auction ends or is it just saying you can't add a new listing after the 20th? Suppose I'll find out for sure on the 20th!

From the wording on the email, you should be ok. It should only effect markers listed after 20th. But then again, with Ebay you never know!
