I disagree

Whether it's psychological or not, some people definitely play better with some markers than others, and some people just don't like the feel of certain guns.

I've seen it in mountain biking a lot - a top end guy will get a new bike deal for an equally good or better bike, but won't perform on it cos it just doesn't suit him or his style...s'tha same thing with markers.
but when the sponsorship package involves the whole team using the same marker everyone is bound to not feel completely natural with it, the same as they all may not of felt at home with the angel but they'll get used to it and adapt. Chucks probably saying "Hey guys grin and think of the greens"

obviuosly, but i find it hard to shoot cockers, i just cant work out the trigger as i am used to my LCD, surely when you play at the level that Dynasty play at, the smallest thing has a huge effect on how well you play, hence the reason why Formula one racers take so much time in learning their cars, and why they underperform if the weight is not quite right, or the transmission is a little off etc..... my point is why would Dynasty risk a lot when they already won the millennium shooting IR3's? its not as if WDP were paying them in trips to Disney and outings to the Zoo, or people to do their homework for them!! i am sure that WDP would match what Bob Long offered, just to keep the association with the team and all the spin offs that entails.

TJ - how reliable is this rumour?

How reliable? It's just a rumor dude, but a rumor that'd make sense...we'll know by tha end of tha week, but I reckon this one's got legs.
I'm sure that is the case and I doubt the level of play will suffer for using timmys instead of angels. With the amount they train I'm sure they'll soon get used to the markers.
As I said first of all regarding high level markers, there isn't that much in them. The cocker example was a bit extreme considering its a completely different style of trigger.

...but I'm looking for a totally new kit. So I've been readin', studyin' and askin' questions.

Some things the GZ Timmies have going for them compared to IR3's:

* lighter weight
* has anti-chop eye so almost impossible to break balls no matter how fast you shoot
* shoots at very low pressure for whatever that's worth
* trigger has many ways it can be adjusted and is very light
* air-efficient, if I remember correctly

Negative, compared to WDP products:

* doesn't have that tremendous service-support
* doesn't look as good as the Angels
* doesn't have nearly as many after-market products on market

Unknown:

* reliability

I could be misinformed about some points. Would like to hear what others think. Also this discussion could get moved to the tech forum. But there are reasons more than sponsorship to choose some of the new electro-markers. WDP is no longer the sole maker of top-performing markers.

I'm also looking for a come-back of E-Mags now that there level 10 has made it almost impossible for them to chop balls. It is an amazingly good marker according to everything I've read. AGD just needs to learn something about marketing and do whatever it takes to get some winning pros using their product.

As for Kingman products, that has to be all about sponsorship because their products are not (yet) true electro-pneumatic. They have sears that can wear out. Sure, they're fast. But not in the same league as Angels, Timmies, Matrixes, Shockers, Impulses, E-Mags and Cockers.

Even markers with ACE can and do chop balls.
The only way to not chop is either level 10. or a.n.other mechanical anti chop low bolt pressure etc.

i cant see Dynasty being left out, however looking at company's and who they sponsor could be a tough call, i see the first seven being in(im only guessing).

Brass eagle===Avalanche
Dye=========SC Ironmen
Draxxus======Trauma
Smart Parts====Strange
PMI==========Aftershock
Paintball Sports===GZ
Kingman=======Bad Company
National=======Dynasty or Bob's Ironmen

PGI===========Flashpoint:D

i think that would be the 8 sponsors...so who would be left out? Gino and Bob have always been linked with each other.

i guess we find out in a few days
