I seriously doubt the 'new' Miami Effect will be making their first appearance by playing in the Millenium and breaking NXL regulations. It wouldnt exactly get them off on the right foot with the NXL powers-that-be.

Actually NXL has always allowed their teams and players to play in other X Ball events. It was just non-center-flag tournaments that were restricted last season. Miami Effect was signed up for DMA before all the talk about the players leaving came to light.

Well the alleged restriction wasn't quite that.... Remember, both Miami and LA played Toulouse 7man last year.
That was because the NXL made an exception for Toulouse. There was supposed to be an NXL vs. Nations Cup exhibition, and when that fell through they decided to let the teams play 7-man instead.

But they were allowed to play X Ball and other center-flag events. The individual players were allowed to play in Nations Cup, for example, such as Max and Alex Lundqvist, Spesh Robinson, Eric Dearman and Todd Martinez did. Some X Ball teams even played some PSP 5-player events.
Some players played too many non-center-flag and got suspended.
