I think its a toss up between Planet and WDP,

WDP for driving the sport foward with Hyperball, the Angel, and promoting an image for paintball that took us from weekend soldiers to Extreme Sport.

Planet for basically providing some of the best kit there is out there today. They single handedly have taken the cocker from a good marker to an outstanding marker in one swoop. Their Eclipse work takes some damm fine markers and makes them sooo much better and for Jack and co to be so meticulous in the preperation of the stuff that gets sent out the door gives a real confidence to the use of their products. To go from basically being a paintball shop to a world renowned company proves they have got thier products right so far. You only had to be at the MM tourney this week to see that their Eclipse Hoodies are the thing to be wearing lol ;)

As for others, im not sure they do enough to stand out, Dye seem to be on a marketing kick at the moment probably helped by the controverstial shirts, they do however produce some nice playing gear. Diablo/Draxxus tried with X-Ball but that seems to have died somewhat (in europe at least) with the Millenium screw up that is the nations cup, maybe they can pull it back at some point. Smart Parts seem fairly behind in thier marketing bya couple of years and so dont present the right image to a degree, tho the Freak is a superb system and used by plenty of people.

Forget the freak and look at the powerlyte scepter. Cheaper way more robust and comes with a SS back for the price and the inserts are longer.

It's hard for me to pick a single fav, partly 'cause there are lots of good products out there but also 'cause what I base my choice on might be different than what others would consider when choosing. I can't narrow it down to just one, but here are my pros (in NO particular order) and my reasons:

Planet absolutely rocks. The only thing I've ever bought from them was my first custom Angel (a beautiful Green Eclipse), but those guys bent over backwards to get one to me quickly and it purred right out of the box and they checked back with me from time to time to see how things were going with it. They're cool to talk to face to face and always happy to sit down and go over the newest thing with you. Their excitement is contagious. I really like those guys. And besides, their stuff qualifies as sweetness. What more do you want?

Cobra: I am a BIG fan of Cobra Paintball. Had numerous dealings with Louchious and Co. and they're always pleasant, always interested...they make you feel like you're more than just a number. They're not as known for making their own gear but when they get their fangs into something (like, ummm, the Angel?) it's like Viagra effect. When it comes to Angel stuff, they are the Alpha and the Omega. 'Nuff said.

Worr Paintball Gear: haven't had anything to do with them personally in eons, basically 'cause I'm one of those cerebellar-challenged fools who could never learn to shoot the Autococker...but their track record speaks for itself and anytime they've got something going on I always have a good look at it. Maybe it's more sentimental than that with me, though...the first 'gun I ever OWNED was a Worr prototype Ranger (the old pump...remember???) that I won at a target shooting contest way back way back way back. Bud handed it to me personally. I feel like he truly cares, that the business for him goes beyond just being a business.

Airgun Designs: another sentimental favorite. The Automag was my 'gun of choice for the semi-automatic era 'til the dawn of the electros. They've always been innovators, with products like the Warp Feed and the new LX, which PGI gave the award for most improved product of the year. Tom Kaye is like Paintball's version of Einstein and I just get the impression that where they're at is never quite good enough for them. I like that. Besides, their kit is quality and they work hard for and with their customers. A truly A+ company.

Kingman: I've never owned anything of theirs and I've never sat down and talked at length with any of their people...but I like their drive and I LOVE what they've done for the sport by coming out with quality kit that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and sponsoring the biggest prize giveaways to date in our sport.

AKALMP: Aside from producing quality kit, which they most certainly do, they're the only big company owners I've ever shared a table with at Cracker Barrel and felt like I was having breakfast with my sweet ol' mom and dad. I've never dealt with them on a business level but my father has and I've seen that...and their level of involvement/care with him was out of this world.

Severe Paintballs: A new company with top quality product when it's at its best, though consistency is their problem at the moment (they'll get there eventually)...what most impressed me with them was some of the stuff they did for us on Adrenalin last year. There's "sponsorship," which many teams have...and then there's "sponsorship + involvement," which we had. I won't go into detail other than to say Eric and the boys at Severe are World Class in my book.

Adrenalin: I was a customer of theirs long before having anything to do with 'em as a team member...and they always went above and beyond the call of duty for me. Now that I've been more of a part of their organization than most customers my view might be considered "biased" or "skewed," but what's undeniable is that they can make kickin' custom markers. The Adrenalin Angel was good...but when you consider before and after, the Adrenalin IMPULSE is perhaps the biggest improvement on a standard marker in Paintball (cockers aside). Besides, they know how to party...trust me.

There are loads of other great companies with fantastic kit and I don't mean to leave them out, but these are those who've made the biggest impression on me "sentimentally" or "emotionally," I guess you could say...which is what always impresses me most about a big business. You could say the ones that are "big time" but feel like you're dealing with a "corner store" are the ones to whom I tip my hat.

Damn, hope I didn't leave anyone out.
hehe
Lotsa love,

Smart parts just bug me. I'm currently selling my halo and maybe even my freak so i don't have to deal with Smart parts any more. Their customer service sucks, and they just try to rape people for money any chance they get. I will never buy another piece of kit from Smart parts ever.

For me it all comes down to customer service. I like Planet, because they treat me nice, and i like Diablo UK, again because they are easy to talk to.

I like National Paintball Supply, because their 32 degrees line brings decent stuff to the player at a lower cost.
