Talk about changing there rules!

Not fussed, but its leaves a big question mark over the enforcement of there rules.

My whole question on this is...

has anyone on any of these "rules" bodies checked to see whether or not the Dye jerseys actually assist in bounces??

Take into consideration that we haven't recieved ours yet so I can't speak first hand - BUT - the amount of "padding" I have seen in pictures seems to be quite minimal.

Is this just a case of people hearing "padding" and then crying "more bounces" or has it been proven to provide that this is the case??

Anyone who has one please fill us in...

had a look at one at the indoor, and there is minimal paddin on the shoulder and elbow. dont really think it assists bounces. they have been aproved by the organisers of 2 series in the uk, MM and series 2003, so they cant be that bad.

Forget it, it's not officially been announced, James I don't know where you get your info.......
But the Millennium has said nothing about it yet.

I think if they back down now that's the single biggest mistake they could make.

If there is no rule against it now where will you draw the line in the future, there will be no teeth to any of the rules and it makes a mockery of it all.

I know it's hard on sponsored guys like Goose and Sam, and you are going to tow to the party line, but it's got to happen sometime.

Pardon my ignorance, but what other good reason is there to put padding into a jersey where they did?

They say it's for sliding. Now if that's the case, why don't baseball players wear padding on thier shoulders? (Pete Rose, the master of the head-first dive, never wore a pad on his shoulders in his life!) The only sport I can think of where shoulder pads are used is american football.

Smoke and mirrors. Keep in mind that the "Bunker King" headbands have "minimal padding" too, but I get bouncers from mine consistently.
