DOT bottles will not be filled at millennium?

Whilst @ diablo cup i was talking to some fella who turned out to know alot about millennium events and this is what he said!

ALL dot bottles will NOT be filled also only 4500psi bottles will be filled.

He also said that all bottles will have to be booked in and some sort of sticker put on so you cant pull a fast one.

I dont think it will be that drastic next season but it will be enforced the following season.

There was a big scare before the diablo cup because the chap in the big green air truck was refusing to fill dot bottles so that could have gone tits up!


This is just what i heard i dont know if this is true or not,ijust thought i should start the ball rolling as you guys with angel air and centreflag bottles etc might have to get an hse bottle to play in the uk.

hi - just to let every one know that angel air cylinders are both dot & hse approved.

true but if you get them dot tested then they are classed as a dot bottle.

They used the sticker system in france it was simple and quick

yeah i think every one out of the uk will be screwed as europe have a different standard of testing too!

As far as i know. there are only two standards of bottle test!
So if your bottle is dual tested, you should be ok.

How can they not fill your bottle, as that would mean not a lot of paintball players could play!!!!!

Nope as temporary visitors from overseas are exempt from the requirement to use HSE bottles.

They can't fill your bottle because it's the Law

Had the same prob at witton castle ...but got the dot bottles filledbecause we were from jersey .......paintball rules state that any over-seas team ....WILL be able to fill there dot bottles if any Queries ASK STEVE BULL

Just think about it for a moment - why would DOT be banned from Millennium?

To ban DOT would mean pretty much every player from outside the UK (as we are the only country to use HSE) would need to by an HSE or dual tested bottle even though they were playing in countries which didn't even recognise or use the HSE standard!

Now there is rather a lot of them and rather few of us.

Plus in 5 of 6 Millenium countries DOT is an OK standard AFAIK.
