Royal mail arnt TOTALLY on strike. Theres a different section on strike each day. like one day the sorting office will be on strike , the next post offices, the next post men etc.
It will just take longer for things to come but they will still come while royal mail is on strike.

My area has been told we wont receive post at the soonest of 3 weeks....
I guess you don't take paypal? Also postage with the royal mail will be the base cost so check their website, these will weigh next to nothing. Probably envelope weight type thing, but not worth the risk.
