I mostly get cuts and bruises from diving (e.g my elbow, knees etc) even through pads... they used to get battered, but now have toughend up....

Its wierd, I have had quite a few neck shots in the time I have been playing but never once had a proper bruise.

When I first started playing I got bruises all over my body. I only tend to get hit on the hands or marker now so usually get off quite lightly. I guess I am pretty lucky!

I bruise just as easily as I used to when I first started playing but it does not really hurt as much as it used to. Must have got used to it....

I'd love to see any clinical evidence of paintballers being less prone to skin trauma (bruising etc) because of prior shots.

To invoke a lesser reaction in terms of trauma conditioing then you would have to be shot sooooo many times in the same spot for it to have any chance of happening.

And then it would only be apparent in that specific area but hundreds of shots would have to be experienced in that particular area.
Nah, I ain't having that for one minute, nobody gets shot that much, well a guy I know called Graham Easton used to get shot that much but his skin turned blue and orange in the end and he retired with the nickname 'Custer' so I think he got the message.

As for this suggestion, hogwash mate, complete hogwash !
