okay, really stupid question... but, i teach drum lessons, and the same as guitarists, people develop calases where the stick rubs in the hand... etc.
so, do people who are playing much more often than me or you, or have been playing for much longer, still bruise like biatches or do they almost develop thicker skin here and there where they regularily get shot; although i understand the likelyhood of getting shot in the exact same place twice, what with the ball being very small, and the human body surface area being much larger (apart from snow whites dwarves )...
so, stupid question over, now time for the stupid answers, but please, can i get a few semi-serious ones???
