Ok I've changed my mind & am going for the less drastic measure of putting the angel board in an ego frame, & I'll try mounting the cops on the end of the ego frame as it is on the angel one, I'm not liking the idea of ripping out the internals & such...

The angel board's a bit fat but if I alter the frame it will fit...shame, I wanted the breakbeam eyes, but it'll live ;).

That would be quite a job. COPS detects paintballs based on the vibration they make when they fall on the COPS rod, so the unit should be in a position where it picks up as little virbration from the rest of the gun as possible (that's why you'll notice that the place in the grip frame for it is greased, it's to act as a shock absorber and prevent the unit from moving). I don't think there's any where in an Ego frame where you could mount it.

DM'ing basically entails the same modifications as a Spitfire install, so Tom or JohnC should be able to drill the eye holes and plug up the COPS ports for you no problem (it's not as hard as the guy on PBN made it sound, you just seal up the hole where the COPS rod went and install a new "diverter plate" that doesn't actually "divert"). Then you'd basically just slap the new frame on. You could probably do it yourself if you had a drill press, tap and die set and some patience.

What's the big deal with "DM'ing" anyway? You do know that you can buy a .45 frame for the IR3, right? And with the 10 million aftermarket boards for the Angel, it doesn't seem like Dye's electronics are anything overly special.

I'm just bored & want another project of some kind; I don't know what it is, the board, trigger or the COPS (it isn't me, I can hit 13 no problem), but it's significantly slower than my 05 Speed, and DM'ing it (using DM5 board, and breakbeam eyes) I thought would improve it.
Probably not such a good idea to try and re-place the COPS...

Aftermarket board's are expensive, the key word in there is BUY, which I don't like doing ;), whereas £30 would get me a new board, trigger and eyes for this ;).

And spitfiring is amazing but I do have a max of £30 to spend, which should prob go on the other barrel-less/feedneck-less project anyway ;)
*focus on one thing at a time ;)*

I'll come back to this...
