Bozzo / Nail, thanks for the apologie about the mess with the schedule, but maybe you can answer a few questions I still have:

- Why didn't anybody do anything after the towers nearly flattened the SP Booth? it wasn't untill the angel one came down an hour later that they started securing them.

- Why was the players zone in the open, although there was a 80% chance of rain?

-Why wasn't there a scoreboard & captains meeting?

Maybe for future events you can use the $25 passes to check that only players get into the players zone so hopefully the theft rate will go down, and also it would be good if the test dates on the HP Bottles are checked again at the fill station, like they used to in the past, thanks.

Nearly forgot: could you also let us know what happened with the score sheets of the last Pro Final games ( RL - Strange and Avalance - Iron Men) and how it affected the results as there seems to be a few different stories roaming around about it, cheers.

Orange,

You directed your reply at me as well as Boz. I am not the promoter of DMA, (Campaign Cup has completely different Management) I just tried to help . I was there to play like you.

I am however President of the Millennium Series and speak on behalf of the Board.

There are many issues the Millennium Series has with DMA. We have a book of requirements for every event. Many of your points are valid and in contravention of the book. However the biggest failing was the lack of preparation against bad weather. In their defense the organisers were told by the scaffold company that the towers would not move.

With regard to the scoresheet incedent. Alvaro has been investigating this in depth. If the result was wrong we would have overturned it. Thankfully it was correct. I am sure that Alvaro will let you know the finer points if you so want.

If I can be of any help please contact me.

Orange this is not personal just an observation but you have made 25 posts and 90% of them seem to be just dissing people.

Niall (if i am right) has sod all to do with the DMA.

But he is in charge of the campian cup and believe me he does a tremendous job there so all he was doing was helping out a fellow major event organization.

Yes there was problems some of witch could have even been fatal.

Hindsight is a wonderfull thing but so is experience so lets wait till next year and then judge.

I went on the bus from hell and stayed with the oldies but i come back not moaning but having enjoyed the event and weekend as a whole.

Perhaps it's just a state of mind.

If you go next year can i suggest you visit a coffee shop and just chill.

It is only a game.

Most of your questions have been replyed to so why do you keep going on about them, And as for the pro final RL did'nt complain so leave it alone eh.

@Nail: the first part of my mail was directed at Bozza and the second bit with the passes and test dates was meant for you, sorry if it seemed it was all directed at you, as far as I could tell in Amsterdam you were the main reason it wasn't a complete disaster!
Good to hear the board is looking into the DMA and that most of my views are seen as valid.
Will Alvaro be posting what happened with the score sheets, or do we have to wait for the next PGI?
Just out of curiosity, if we would have demanded our money back, would the organisers have to pay it together with all our expenses as somebody posted on this board?

@Russell: I'm new on this board and a couple of days after I joined we played Mayhem, so obviously most of my post have been about this.
As for the coffee shop thing, I think this is the main reason why players didn't complain more, everybody was getting wasted in coffee shops and getting there 10% discount blowjobs in the local brothel, but like I said before that has nothing to do with the promoter, that's just Amsterdam, the coffee shops, brothels, meeting friends, playing, basically "the crack" at events has nothing to do with the promoters, that's pretty standard at any event, but the things the promoters are responsible for were mostly a mess at the DMA.
Let's face it if all this **** would have happened at the Max Masters or Portugal or any other event, players would have been freaking out, as it was in Amsterdam and the "after tournament activities" were pretty extreme, a lot of players still went home with a good feeling.
Also I get the feeling that for some of the teams who've been trying to make out that the DMA was so great it was there first Millennium Event, so I guess they don't know how they should be run as they can't compare it with other events.

Next up is Toulouse, there won't be any coffee shops or brothels, but I'm sure there will be a good playing schedule, a dry player zone and a scoreboard......

According to Dutch law (which Niall probably isn't too familiar with) if a paying customer (you!) can prove that the product being offered was below par compared to what was promised and what you paid for, then yes, a refund had to be made. But only if you would have walked, and if you can prove things.

PS A good number of the guys that spoke in favour of the DMA's are NOT Millennium virgins.

You've made your points by now, and like Russel pointed out, it's getting a bit tedious. Move on, or are you one of those angry young men that enjoy being a sourpuss? I hope not for your sake.
Come look me up at the next event that the both of us attend. We'll have a beer and talk some more.

PS Did you send that e-mail I asked you to send?
