I think you want a 300bar tank....the 300 bar's that we use should always fill to 3000psi when fresh, AND if the dive center who fills it for you does a good fill you can get up to about 3500.

Just make sure that you write "Land Use ONLY" on the tank in a black permanent marker or something.

Speak to Jon at London Paintball Supplies, they sell a 300 bar tank for filling guns only, comes with an Air America fill station, cost a little extra but because you can't dive with it you don't have to have it tested for 5 years instead of 3,

Cost a little extra but so worth it. Also definitely 300 bar, like Perm says. If you guys move up to 4500psi air systems then you can fill up with site air and use your tanks to top up on. gets the most from your tank.

300 bar 12litre is the most common (i think)

Speak to your local dive shop, you should be able to get the tank for around £165. Then you obviously need the fill station £45.

there isn't any difference between a dive tank and a surface use tank at all so i don't know why u would be charged a little extra? If the tank is for surface use only then a 5 year test is fine if it's to be used underwater then a 2 year test is mandatory and for older tanks every year.

i totally see the point about 300 bar tanks but as everyone seems to be upgrading to 4500psi so there are lots of cheap second hand tanks about. I have been offered 232 bar tanks for £40 each so to start with seems like a good idea

feed back please guys

I agree with smartecosse, there is NO difference between tanks used on the surface as opposed to diving except for how often you have to have it tested, maybe i should have been a bit clearer.

The reason we write "LAND USE ONLY" on ours is so we don't get the third degree about having etsted etc.. everytime we go to fill it up.

The 232 sounds like a bargain but remember that generally you'll only be getting 2000 psi (and a bit over) fills out of it.....if you can hang on a bit longer or spare the extra cash i would be inclined to wait and get a 300 bar...
