i dont think that the main argumeent is over the silence happening... but who's to say that its worse than say the 1min silence that happens on 11th November silence following WW1 where the death count was nearly 11 million
can somebody pls tell b.long he should rename his team, cause im pretty sure someone was murdered in oakland over the last two days!
...
avalanche should better go back to KAPP cause no one can say what might happen in switzerland next skiing-season!
...
i think that if tsunami was an asian team (lets say from penang(malaysia)) they would have an issue to change the name (like GZ, as they are from NYC) but right now, they should just ask themselves if its good for their image or not. and as long they dont have problems with sponsors or anything else, they should just keep the name!
i am not quite sure what final solution actually means, but if it has something to do with the 2nd world, they should have chosen another team name. but coming to think of it...i have never heard of those guys...
Final solution was the translation given to the German word Endlösung, the annihilation of the Jewish people in Europe, as discussed at the Wannsee conference in 1942.
Very bad name indeed, and good to hear the team remains pretty much unknown, even in Germany.
as the post says "why change"
taunami's are a natural disaster and like "el-minio's" happen every year around the world.
admitadly this was a severe "natural disaster" but these things happen.
there are also teams with other natural disasters in there name, such as :-
tornado's
hurricanes
avalanche. should they change thier name when the next one happens.
get real, these things cannot be stopped and there is no reason why they should change thier name.!!!!!!!

PS: does anyone think El Nino would make a tough sounding team name? Just goes to show why no one gets worked up about climate change. How about the Glaciers? "oh no, it is moving at almost an inch a year!"
