Just talking to a guy at work who said he played at Delta Force nr Soton and used the big black looking markers that they paid extra for because they fired around the corner, you just turned the barrel and it was designed(?) to shoot round the corner.

Anyone know what they are using?
Is this a con?

I do believe that Delta Force use to use 98's andthen changed over to Infernos ( longer lasting British Guns)

Fire round corners?

They don't exaclty fire round corners, they just use the flatline barrel principle where one side of the barrel bore is a bit rough, hence putting a bit if spin on the paintball, hence allowing it to curve slightly.

On flatlines the top of the barrel is rough giving the paint a bit of backspin, hence why they have the distance, but apex barrels can be clicked round to the left, right, or even down, to curve the ball in the relevant direction. Note it is a slight curve, and not exactly 'shooting round corners'.

Hope useful info.

apex used, i'd say.
the barrel tip has a switch/lever that pushes down a rubber flap to change the friction placed on the top part of the ball, inducing back spin. this gives the ball a longer range (although the shot takes an initial dip) and as the barrel tip can be rotated can be used curve the ball - the most dramatic effect is the lob where the ball climbs and then drops very very steeply.

oh, and the barrel is only 14".
