My team mate has a G7 and its sooo sweet.

Performance wise they are roughly the same, lightness wise they are both pretty light.

The only main difference ide be wierd with is trigger.

The angel trigger is very light, gentle pull, the ego is a snappy magno trigger.

Play about with both of them and see what you like. When it comes to high end markers its really personal preference.

It's all down to personal taste or sponsorship, nothing more.
We had a look at a vast range of markers available to us and settled on 05 speeds, fast and reliable and readilly available tech support at the tourney we play in. Main issue being fast game turnaround at the PA and a marker that could easily be switched between ramping and non-ramping tourneys. But for whole teams firing the same marker.... it's usualy a sponsorship thing. You won't get many WDP sponsored teams firing Ego's or Planet sponsored teams firing Angels.

So, main factors for us..... tech support at the PA, ramping capacity easy to control and simple operation for fast turnaround games (easy to chrony and debounce etc...) meant Angels were the best choice (we didn't have any sponsorship issues as our sponsor is a retailer who was able to get hold of pretty much anything). If we were playing the normal UK format with big breaks between games, maybe we'd have looked more seriously at other options.
I quite like the feel of the Angel, but that's personal preference, nothing more and I'm pretty sure I could get used to anything.

Just try them both, see which one you like, the G7 was scary fast, but we concentrate on a tourney with a 15bps cap.....so is the extra for the ROF worth it?

Also consider the build quality of the G7. You guys are comparing a Ford to a Jagwaa. Angels are built to last, very few seals and very few moving parts. Speed, unmatched quality, reliability, features.

There are an equal number of moving parts in each. Both guns are pneumatic ram designs that actuate a poppit. The Angels' parts are somewhat more enclosed, but that doesn't make much difference preformance-wise.

I like the Ego because it has ac threaded barrels. If the Angels did, I would shoot an 05 Speed by choice. The G7 is the hottest looking Angel I have seen, but I like the 45 frame better than the 90 degree space frame.
