Anyway I agree with you i would love to play X-ball only, hell you saw the new Joy-kids in Norway. They are born to play X-ball. But we need someone to finance the thing. Now dont bother about all people comming in here talking about us beaing cheap or greedy, its just bs. But to run Joy Masters or Mega or Max masters with up to 10-14 Pro teams gone for X-ball would make it financally impossible. And it would be hard to run a X-ball legue with only 2-3 events. Thats basicilly the problem.
Now on the other hand if the people thats financally going to gain when X-ball go off is willing to pay then we dont have any problem. The problem is to pinpoint whom that actuelly is.
If anyone is telling me that Im one off them then I would need
something real to show for when I go to the bank and ask for a loan.
And no the word "trust me" doesnt do it...

Mag, your event is I know, not run to make vast amounts of money, and I know u don't. The beneficiaries of playing X-ball, well financial beneficiaries are the promoters and the owners of the rights for X-Ball, as you know, we have discussed the latter, and found that perhaps things are not what they seem when it comes to ownership or promises thereof.
Nevertheless, this clouding of issues does not mask the fact that somebody / somebodies in Europe stands to gain a lot of money when it goes big time Stateside.
You are now well aware of what's on the table over there.
As far as speculation goes and if it's anybody's responsibility, well we (Nexus) were prepared to stump up $30,000 as were Ton Tons and Russian Legion.
Well those were the figures being touted around at the beginning of all this, now if I can speculate (and wished to) doesn’t that tell you that the prime beneficiaries (whoever they may be) should have done this also?
Now in reality, the start up figures for the teams, to facilitate a fully integrated circuit would have been nowhere near this amount making it even easier for others to get involved but no effort was made, and I mean no real effort at all.
All I kept hearing is, 'Oh, I am gonna lose money if these teams don’t turn up'
Well frikkin hold on a minute here, I was willing to stump up £30,000, what the hell u lot bitching for ?
Mag, when I called you and asked for the reasons why you did this, you admitted you had not been given the full picture and had you done so, your decision would have been different.
You also told me that you did not now agree with the decision of the board but felt bound by it.
So, my friend, it is not you who should be on here defending it !!
Pete
PS Nick, Magued's one of the good guys in all this, remember that !!!!
