the problems with the dartford fields is that they're square. This does two things, one it makes it super easy to get shot out if someone makes the tape 50s There are generally no large center obsticles on these fields, which you see on almost every millennium field. A large central bunker would allow teams to break up the middle. They have a large X, but it never seems to get stood up.
Second, most of the bunkers are laid down, which promotes the sit in your bunker and shoot them out mentality. Standing up more of the bunkers should promote more movement, although that combined with the wide fields would mean a lot of players are going to get clipped on the pack if someone makes the 50s.
Finally there seems to be an absence of snakes that are usable.
The Ladder that you see on almost every millennium field has yet to be used, and there's often disconected laydown logs that might resemble a snake if they were laid out end to end.
Hey, there's quite a few people who have issues with the field layout at Dartford, i know Dave reads this stuff, so put your suggestions forward.
Personally i would rather have fields identical to Millennium fields, or if we're ment to be playing x-ball style, then with enough bunkers to play 7 man x-ball.
EIther way it's still better than the Temple, so i'm not complaining too hard about it.
