Can anyone confirm that paintball guns fire at less than 1.01 Joules? No idea what the person was on about. I have to send a declaration that the gun is not a firearm.

Any idea?

Have read a few otehr import threads, and saying it fires less than 290 feet per second and less than 11 pounds was the running theme. But where do the joules come in?

Not a problem with UPS by any chance:D , had the same problem last year they accepted a email stating the marker run at 280fps before they would release it.

and wanted the same info for a halo (dont ask)

i never deal with anybody now who ships by UPS anymore way to much like hard work

:D

wanted the same information regarding a Halo and a pack (actually asked what a pack was for), phone them up and ask the person you speak to for there email (or give them yours and ask them to send the question via email) then reply stating the marker fires at 280fps or 1.01 Joules.

They should then release the items, and remember never to use them again, most US dealers will ship via USPS if you ask and it generally cheaper than UPS

But where do the joules come in?
Joules are a form of energy I think so he was probably talking about the power of the gun, don't know why he used joules tho?

And it probably is lower than 1.01j, probably even lower than 0.1j if I remember my physics - don't quote me on that figure tho.
