Painting your equipment = bad
Painting your mask = very bad.
if your mask fails, you will not be covered by the manufacturers liability because you used petro-chemicals on rubber, and petro-chemicals will corrode rubber (this is why you don't use WD40 on your guns). A rule of thumb is that if there are strong fumes from your paint, it's a petroleum-based product.
It's basically a really, really bad idea. Suggest you don't do it.
Not to mention all those lovely lovely fumes that will make you high/give you headaches, and your putting them into a mask you'll be breathing heavily in. (not you missy q lol)Painting your equipment = bad
