because Americans RULE and we should have our doller sign on every keyboard in the world, lol, you can usually find the pound sign in symbols neways

"£" and "$"

For those of you that do not have the "£" or "$" sign key on your keyboard.....

How old is your keyboard?!?!

Only 2 things I can think of why you wouldn't have it.

a) Your keyboard is outdated
b) Your keyboard manufacturer has no intention of global dominance.
(Hence, just placing either the US dollar sigh ($) or the UK Sterling sign (£)

Remedy:
Get a new updated keyboard.
If not, then use the
"character map" under C;/windows/accessories/systemtools/character map
