Lost in davey jones's locker
6 weeks makes it soooooooo far away! :(

But on the good side it gives us the chance to get things even better on the setup side of things for the teams. I have started to develop Ninja/Jedi senses whilst working for Rich and knowing how he wants to get things right for the CPPS and 'us' the teams, He will have a list of jobs the size of king kongs balls for the BoP crew to do...

this may well have already been said and dont want to be negative..

xball planning went badly wrong somewhere

only 3000 fill, which led to a fair few people running out of air

however, everything else was pretty much spot on

Living on the edge, often bouncing on a ledge
Main issue with the xball scheduling was by trying to make it a little easier on one team being required on 2 fields at the same time it ended up causing a chain reaction of jumbled scheduling which had the knock on effect of delaying everything.

Better planning for next one has already been sorted and will be sticking to schedule :)

Also the 300psi air fills are the standard now so it wont be changed in a hurry. Just have to top up every point or shoot less :D

Can we rotate the morning and afternoon sessions around each event so that next time xball is in the morning and 5 man in the afternoon, and then the time after the reverse?

to start off the majority of the tourny was good but the bad points of the day for me were

1. i know it has already been said but the scheaduling was bad for the xball was supposed to start are game at 13:45 and then got on the field at like 15:00
2. communication between fields as we were moved from one field to another only to find out we was on the first field
3. start gates were a bit on the small side wich didnt help with the amount of mud accumlitaed arround them
4. good idea with the astro turf at the start gates but maybe a couple of sheets at the start gate to give a bit more lee way as couner players didnt get use of it at the start gate
5. when doing the xball games trying to get fill stations designated for that field as having to fill up each point and then having to wait for use on the station wasnt ideal
6. pits i feel could have been beter organised
7. refs towards the end of the day got very static asking for paint checks after shooting a guy for the 4th time and no one checking him wasnt very good but most part was all very good and fair

other than was a good tournie you asked for the bad points and for me this was the bad points for the day :) and thanks again to every one who was involved wopuld have been a lot of hard work battling with the elements and what not see you all at round 2

You have to think that the xball teams stay on the field longer so will need more than 1 field to play if there is more than 6 team's mate.

This is going to be our first season playing the full cpps events, we only got to 2 last year but with that we are committing to a full season with our main xball team The Manchester Firm and with our 5 man team The Firm we are also starting up an academy team which we hope can get new people into the tournament side of paintball which we are going to start running the Northern Quarter newbies days again with the help of rich and the cpps and using his site as a training ground.

With the 2 events we played last year we knew right away we wanted to do a full year this year, with teams like Disruption and Tigers teams and Method you cant get any better teams to play in the UK so it makes sense to any team to play these events if you want to get better at actually playing paintball.....

If any teams want to train with us drop us a line even if you are new or what ever or you are a new team then we are happy to spend some time with you so we can get the UK back on the map..

Please give these event's a try don't be scared if some big teams are there its more of a reason to play..

Plus don't forget that the cpps site is a training site as well, The Firm are there most weekends as are Disruption and Method..

There will be some news soon as well that some boys in blue are coming to the site in august to show some skills.

Any way great event more to follow.
