I walked from the train station just behind the stadium, didn't see one poster outside. If you were at the entrance up the top you wouldn't have known it was on until you walked down the access road when the sponsors posters started popping up.Originally posted by Andy
dood where have you been all weekend? did u not see the posters on the railings out side the stadium - or the AA road signs that were posted quite a distance away (yet one being pointed the wrong way )
but if u were up by the xball field 3. area- you would of seen the amount of people just coming to watch- and many players were being asked abit about the sport etc.
i thought it was good for oustide interest .
Once you were inside there was nothing to explain to visitors what was going on in the game, no easily visable lists of games so joe public could get an idea who was playing and where. It just seemed to be passing trade using the pool or walking through the grounds who took a look
Also while road signs are good for people attending it isn't advertising. I know postering has it's problems but sticking up some posters with some good action shots would've attracted a lot more interest. Theres a lot of kids in the south london area who love playing with guns as it is lets show them an alternative.
Don't get me wrong it's a great players setup but it seems marketing is still done within existing players - not to the outside world
