another reason to go to germany, the flights with ryan air are super cheap at the moment if you book now. £30 return including taxes from stanstead (or was it Luton?)

significantly reduces the cost of the event. and the organisation is always superb there.

Travel without it at your peril (get stopped by Police etc and there has been hell to pay before - like confiscation and destruction etc)

Perhaps the Millennium Series might like to advise their travelling customers?

maybe the rules have changed in Germany

A team lost it whole set of markers when leaving Germany after a millenium event last year - as far as i'm aware they never got them back and the law has not changed
Maybe people ought to check B4 they go as it could be a UK team this year, who gets stopped.

For this year's indoor we were advised to dismount the markers and fly with them with grips in one suitcase and bodies in other.

We didn't have a problem doing it this way but ymmv.

The law regarding paintballmarkers in Germany hasn't changed and i bet it's even not going to change in the next years.

So you are required to have the "F"-Stamp on your marker, if you fail to have it your marker counts as weapon and like Mark Toye said, it may get confesciated, destroyed or you'll get fined.

For flying into Germany over Luxemburg, i've heard that markers are forbidden there, so it wouldn't be so smart to go over Luxemburg. But i don't know if it's 100% true and i'll try to clearify things.

Back on course!!!

For those of you who want to know more about the "F" stamp, try looking at the thread already running on that subject!

F stamp thread here!

I'm sure headshot would appreciate it if his thread wasn't jacked for info which can be found elsewhere!

In response to this thread, we've done Germany the last couple of years & are going again this year. We usually manage to do the whole weekend on around £250-300, normally closer to the £250. We drive as well instead of flying. I believe flying may reduce the cost slightly though, but the journey is never as much fun!!!

Roughly, you are looking at (approx figures for 7 people):

£90 green fees p.p.
£90 accommodation for 3 nights
Travelling dependant by road or air. By road, inc ferry & petrol worked out about £65-£70 per person.

All you need on top of that is grub money, but I found that packing a nice big food parcel from home saves a lot of expense there!

Hope this helps,

Si
