the only reason im thinking of doing this is cause a normal co2 bottle is 20oz and obviously the air bottle is 1.1ltr :)

and no moaning posts pls. i aint gonna try this unless someone who knows about this stuff posts yay or nay... im not an idiot.. (well most of the time)

seems a bit silly to me with the cost diffrence.

a 20oz CO2 botlle is about 40 quid and 1.1 air bottle goes for around the 150 mark brand new. so don't see much point in it unless you want to waste money.

plus a CO2 bottle only pressures to around the 850-900 psi where your air bottle is tested to 3000 or 5000 psi. also you don't know what effect the CO2 will have on the inside of the bottle.
sorry to me seems a pointless excirse.

just my thoughts

As the bottle threads are the same, all they need is a standard co2 valve. I've seen people do it years ago with the old shoe box shockers because you could get a silly amount of co2 in the bottle but I can't remember how much went in.

why would you want to use an air bottle to run CO2? air is so much easier/better to use

co2

I had a team mate who had a cocker run on co2 using a air bottle years a go.
it worked fine .I think he got 32oz of co2 in it. The only thing was it was a bit of a weight. also anti siphon tube may need to fitted.

Some rec-sites do not allow air to be used and since evoonline, correct me if i'm wrong, has given up sup air tournaments in favour of the odd kicks and giggles at woodsball then i'm assuming that's the reason :)

dont take my word as gosple on this as ive never done it
but when using air tanks to hold co2 was popular back in the days of the shoebox shocker i seem to remember someone saying it was fine to use an air bottle to hold co2 but once you have done it you cant use it for air ever again......cant remember why but there was a reason behind it.
id say contact someone who knows air bottles...hpac for example and ask them. dont risk blowing yourself up till you have checked it out for definate
