Maybe the mods will stickie a 'Sellers to avoid like Anthrax' thread in the classifieds if you ask nicely....they can always create a new username though, so it's just best to stick to sellers with loads of good feedback - like ebay.

Incidentally, I don't believe I have any feedback on the classifieds despite being on here for 5yrs- even so, I have a mint condition Aircraft carrier for sale. Only two previous owners, ideal for cruising through any waters, carrying F16's, troops, whatever your need.

I only want £1000 ono for it, which is a bargain as the last owner paid in excess of £100m (and you thought depreciation on cars was bad eh?!).
I only accept cash, buyer pays postage and packaging - that's important.
No time wasters please.

Not likely. My IP address changes everytime I reset my ADSL. Same for most people who don't ask for a static IP address (usually costs more as well).

There is no real way to trace anyone on here (not legally anyway) as that would infringe all sorts of human rights and privacy laws.

I suppose one answer would be to make people register with a name and address before being allowed in the classifieds - but even then, how do you prove those details?

If people can scam the likes of eBay and get away with it - then we stand no chance on here. Sad, but true.

well there are websites on the net that give out details of anyone, its the freedom of information act 2002, people talk about human rights and stuff but then isnt it someones right to be able to sell/buy stuff without being scammed, i get this at work "its my human right to........." where was the persons human rights when you stole from them or beat them up, its ok for some and not for others,


remember its only illegal if your caught, grab the bat and swing for king and country
