I did not lie. Oz is a weight measurement fl oz is a liquid volume measurement. We were talking about oz not fl oz. They are confusingly similar but NOT the same thing. One is an oz (weight) one is a fl oz (liquid volume). It's like saying lb and £ are the same thing. One measures weight and one measures currency. Or metre and metre cubed are the same thing. Again they are not, one is displacement and the other is volume.
When talking about co2 we are talking about weight. This is why you weigh a tank as you fill it and can thus tell if it is full or empty.
A fluid ounce is an entirely different measurement even though the oz bit is the same word:-
"fluid ounce (fl oz)
a traditional unit of liquid volume, called the fluid ounce to avoid confusion with the weight ounce. In the U. S. customary system there are 16 fluid ounces in a pint, so each fluid ounce represents 1.804 687 cubic inches or 29.573 531 milliliters. In the British imperial system there are 20 fluid ounces in an imperial pint, so each fluid ounce represents about 1.733 871 cubic inches or 28.413 063 milliliters. A fluid ounce of water weighs just a bit more than one ounce avoirdupois. "
So a pint is not always a pint! Shock horror!
If you are talking oz you are talking about weight. If you wish to talk about volume then you say fl oz. There were no fl oz being discussed here to avoid that confusion. Maybe Americans *******ize fl oz to oz but they shouldn't.... as if sense would stop them doing anything like that (or spelling words incorrectly etc... )

No problem, I misread, it is all good though and I think we straightened it out even if I did get too technical (which is hopefully why it was clear buddha )
