Confused - full-auto, semi-auto, rebound, 3 shot burst.

rebound is when you hit the back of the trigger pull a shot is fired, and another is fired when it hits the front of the pull - effectively a shot for every pull and release of the trigger.

you sure thats what rebound is, i thought that was auto-response or am i being a noob and they the same thing

Rebound and auto-respose sorta both sound like they could mean the trigger thing?
