The simple fact is that the ref made his decision and called Lang clean so Lang carried on playing. Anyone would do the same at pro level. If the ref calls you clean you don't go naaaaaah and call yourself out! Whilst Connell was upset by this he should not dispute the refs call on the field regardless of whether it was correct or not. If the ref had then changed his decision it would totally undermine the reffing system opening it up to all sorts of problems. The same applies in any sport, the ref's decision is final.
Absolutely , we all get hot headed on the field but he acted like a child of the field, no need for that behaviour in my opinion.
First Mayhem event I ever went to I saw 2 punch ups. And that, apparently, was a mild day. This is nothing.
I love the fact we're giving our verdict on proceedings after seeing that vid ... there's no way anyone can even attempt to make an informed decision based upon what you see there .. the only thing we can say with any degree of surety is, it's a good thing for Ollie the situation didn't get out of hand, Frank ain't a man to tangle with, he's the real thing when it comes to being able to defend yourself.
Its easy when you have the advantage of reply`s to see what might have happened. Ref`s in any sport are under massive pressure to give the correct call ina split second incident. But at the end Ollie did lead with his head, and you shouldnt do that no matter what the sport. If that was football, they both would probably have been rolling around on the ground holding there heads

He led with his head [not butted] when both had masks on; if there had been any intent to inflict pain then Ollie would know damned well he would have had to have had considerably more force behind his head movement than that feather-butt he did and so I think we can conclude there was no intent to injur ... and if he had butted Frank, his best course of action woud then have been to run like fuhk !!!
