see guys...we WILL need a Warp interface for the E-Blade or the VL's won't be able to keep up :D :D ;)

...and this man is terribly helpful over on the Race forums, believe him when he says a cocker isn't at a disadvantage because of the pneumatics.

Me, I can't wait for the grip.....bring it out sooner!!!

A couple of Racegun things:

The new Racegun board have a Warp feed AUX port, an Eye port, and another AUX port. So, Warp, Eye, and what ever else? ready for some thing else.

Also, a 9v will be out at IAO, $450 or so, and over twice the number of shots per 9v than the centerflag.

Oh, did I mention the true Optical Cutoff ACE on the Raceframe is not Paint color dependent? No chops, no matter what the paint. Non of the other frames have that.

And the new Racefirmware has timing built around the Eye. Basicly eliminates timing the Open/Load times. So the gun's ROF is totally maxed out.

Oh, new Game Timer, Warp works in any mode, degraded Eye operation, and you can turn the Eye off and on from the back of the grip.

e-blades

went down to planet on friday to have a look, they were in the middle of fiddling with them so i couldnt fire one but they were kind enough to fit one on a cocker so i could have a look and was told a lot about how they work....
....first of all i was handed the marker and told that the trigger pull was set quiet long because it was done quickly so i could see it....and franky im scared! talk about TINY trigger movments......a look see inside and a bit of explanation shows why....there are no springs in there, the trigger is magnetic! and there is no switch that needs to be pressed coz its all done by an optical sensor!!
....on the back of the grip there are 3 buttons and an lcd display which im told incorportates a timer and a shot counter as well as settings and battery levels...
...the 3-way on the gun is binned in favour of an electronic 5-way in a nice chrome cover...
....an optical sensor mounted on the gun acts as an anti-chop eye

all in all a master piece! and ill definatly be getting one asap!

Hmmm....A reed switch and a solenoid to activate the sear....hmmm....Thats my idea

Im gonna try using an EPROM instead of PIC chips, give it extra speed....just need to research 14 ways solenoids now....:D
