Cocker Project (not for the fainthearted)

Sid Sidgwick

Tinkering ain’t easy
Right from what ive read loads of people have attempted a cocker project so im giving it a go as well, but have a question to pose. I have bought a half block cocker body, but the body is a 45 feed and im looking to make it vert. It currently has an adapter which sits over the 45 feed hole (feed tube has been removed) and has a plug at one end to stop the balls falling out and a vert feeding elbow on top. this system is ok but my Halo feeds a lot quicker than the current feeding system can handle so is there any way to create a vert feeding cocker without using this system. If i remove the feeding contraption im left with a 45 degree hole in the marker. Any ideas/ help is mucho appreciated :D

Its gonna be tricky mate... real tricky  the only thing i can think of is to mill the lot off and have an angel style breach made with a vert feed that slots inside but it will cost alot of money to get a one off made and it would have to be extremely accurate, would probably be easier and cheaper just to buy a new body.

To be honest there is only one way to fix this and it's gonna outprice the worth of the gun unless you can find someone who will do it for a drink and sexual favours:eek:
Your only option is to have a welder insert a fillet that's profiled to shape and then TIG weld it into place. Then have a machine shop mill the TIG welding flat and then bore the hole for the vert feed, so after you have shelled out the cost of three new body's imported from the states you'll be left with something that might possibly work if the welding heat hasn't distorted the body too much:(
