What is the point in selling them if you can't use them in tournaments because when you go to a tournament you're going to have to buy a new shell and its just a big bother and shells are overpriced so whats the point?

Theres a lot more different areas of paintball than sup' air tournies... perhaps people just need a cheap hopper to have some fun, or use on a reccie day?
It was only recent that clear shells arn't allowed as a ref can't tell the diference between an broken ball in the hopper or a hit on the outside. You'll find most placed don't sell them for Halos and reloaders etc, with no clear option for the new VL.p8ntballer321 said:
