No you just ask questions about the kit you want to buy. Why would you want to go out and buy kit that you won't understand straight away. The 20 post count will make you think about what you want and why you want it not to just p#ss off new members
Not just new to paintball, this also applies to long term users but rare contributors to the forum.
Every forum has its rules on trading, this particular rule review was brought in because of not just the danger of dodgy sellers that can happen sometimes but also because of a major situation that occurred - this one in particular was a buyer and they took advantage of the favouriing of buyers when there is a problem in a sale
It's probably forgotten since the abundance of people posting for the trading rule but the typical new & young paintballer that discovers the forums often filled up threads with questions and comments about the cool stuff they are finding.
With the 20 post rule it is often clear that people have seen something they want to buy, but with a delay and the requirement to contribute to the forum it gives the new player the chance to have second thoughts about their first impulse buy and to see other things come up for sale
Start up a thread about yourself - typical things such as about who you are, where you play - or have not yet played, ask about paintball in you or area, get opinions on what the world of paintball can offer you and what you want out of it
This is first and foremost a forum for paintball discussion, it has trading section as well
