rant..

im not sure what eric just meant..(im a very very silly person). but here i go again. dont kill me. this might belong to another thread, but i wanna explain why i wrote that post (other than being tired of his name :) ..how stupid of me. ).

even though i havent seen this guy play im sure he is a hell of a player. im sure he's won more tourneys than i have shot balls. and make no mistake, im not calling this guy a cheater, even if im sure alot of you will accuse me for doing so afterwards. hey, i couldnt do that..cause im clueless.. i know nothing..never seen him play.

but

wanna comment something. i read in an old post on some forum (maybe it was this one) that several ppl had witnessed (from their view) Lasoya "cheating".

what i cant understand is that pball media (afaik) seems to not mention behaviour opposite of fair play.

now.. if some guy on some team cheats.. in a tourney.. and this is witnessed by a bunch.. maybe even filmed.. why cant some front page of a mag read: "XXX, caught cheating! banned for 2 years". ?

yeah i hear you. there are grey zones.. and the little paintball scene is a bunch of mates. and maybe what you see or what you hear other people say isnt right after all. etc etc etc. but hey.. come on.. were not talking about UFO's here. theres gotta be a time and place where its obvious, you witnessed a cheat and you can actually prove it (for instance, "you" is the ref).

paintball has changed alot over the last years. for the positive. its become a sport and not a wargame. ive never directly been involved in a war, but i have with sports. and in sports you have the possibility of fair play (tada, badabing). yeah, i know. you have nasty fouls/tackles etc, but thats not the "cheating"/grey zone im thinking of. swallowing anabolic steroids and other chemical stuff, prior to some event..thats cheating... in the worst way possible. and my opinion is that in paintball, wiping and "obvious" playing on's is just like that. its just as serious as 500 fps on the chrono.. or like fukking your best friends partner. it should not happen. (assuming the friend did NOT know about it in the first place.. ;) )

this behaviour .. it should be reacted upon with a zero-tolerance rule. banned for x years. all other sports (afaik) follow this rule. paintball has become a sport, right? so why dont i read about cheaters when i read the mags? cause it happens right? why can players just continue, without any reactions (afaik) and like nothing happened? something is not right.

the equipment has evolved so much. soon we can use markers as cellular phones or vibrating a_nal probes.. but imo thats a waste of time if we still are unable to (*lame and boring point of view warning!!!*) fully support fair play and keep an open dialogue.
