I was a cocker man through and through, but fancied a change... Now i've converted to a matrix, and played my first tournament with it last Sunday..... It was like a breath of fresh air. An amazing marker, even if it does look sh1te....... :D
Don't knock it till you've tried it, and once you've tried one you'lll want one!!!
I was staying out of this one since he put a set 3 choices!

Classic Timmy w/ WAS

A little on the expensive side, really ugly, but has a SICK trigger pull. Can you get the 45 stlye frame for a classic timmy? The stock frame just looks wrong.

Timmy wise you can put a clamshell or a GZ 45 grip on the classic. The difference between the two 45 styles is the gz has the flat back and the clamshell has a small bump. Also to put a Gz 45 on the classic you need to get a section of the main body dremeled, so the solenoid can fit.

If you look around on pbnation you can normally get a relatively decent deal on a second hand timmy if you find a new one too pricy.

Considered an E-mag?

Latest ones come with the lighter aluminium X-valve (which includes the anti-chop level 10 upgrade) and the lighter milled-out ULE grip frames and rails.

It'll chuck paint as fast as anything else you've mentioned, can still fire in manual if the battery dies, is built like a tank and can look fairly saucy: mine

The only upgrades I can think you might need over the stock gun are a different barrel and possibly replacing the stainless body with the lighter ally ULE body (centrefeed, cocker barrel threads).

I went from a ANS Gen X 3 cocker with a hinge trigger to an Impy and haven't had a single regret. Some of the newer custom Imps also have very sweet milling (Predator for example).

Having said that, I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the markers mentioned above. Timmy, Trix, Viking, E-mag, Excal - every one of them is a great machine that can really fling the paint.

Ya I have a full freak for a spyder, so I'll just get a new back. With the impulse if I order it from E-Paintballoutlet.com I can upgrade the stock barrel to the freak back instead of byng it seperate. What is the price range for some of these other guns. X-Mag, Viking, etc. And where can I find info on them, are there some forums specifically for them like air-powered.com or impulseownersgroup.com. These guns all look good, but from what I've seen the performance wouldn't be that much better than a slightly upgraded stock impy. Ill have to keep lookin...

or the matrix part which is mucho better
I didn't understand that, but anyway a matrix is pretty much out of the question. I'm leaning towards the impulse or the timmy (I've been researching all day about timmys). That post really confused me...

Oh wait....did you mean the matrix part of pbnation? That would make sense kinda....
