So in summer does the place hit anything higher than 0*COriginally posted by Hatts
OK Bro,
No offense taken...I was just feeling a bit washed out and crabby this morning...although probably not as crabby as Gillie who had to go back out in the cold today (with Steph & Tony) to oversee the dismantling of the whole thing...oh hang on...she's complaining at my use of the word "overseeing" as she actually had to do a large part of the dismanling and packing away
We're hoping for a summer event in 2K3 and hopefully, as long as we can get the same kind of response we had this weekend then we can make it bigger and better. There's a few things I wanted to do that we just didn't get time to do in the end and a few things about the set up that I know we can improve on.
Glad you enjoyed it
I'll have you know that last summer it got as high as a whole 5degC....we even had to shave the penguins it was getting so warm ...Originally posted by Philip

Just a note on the temperature...I have just been informed that the temperature overnight (Sat to Sun) was recorded at minus 10degC.
Just kind of off topic for a second..this was the reason the toilets were frozen solid first thing...
Despite the fact that some filthy b*st*rds went and stuffed them full of paper and sh*t in them anyway instead of walking up to the castle to use working toilets, the staff from Witton Castle went down mid morning...cleaned up all the p*ss & sh*t out of the bowls and off the seats and off the floor and poured boiling water through the system until it was clear. They went back at 1pm to clean them again...
If anyone was the unsung heroes of the tornament I'd say it was the cleaning staff at Witton Castle...
They did say that they thought the student teams who camped over on the Saturday night were crazy combining sub-zero temperatures with so much booze...still students aren't exactly renowned for their common sense
