C'mon, y'all! I hear a lot of the old complaints were handled and handled well in Chicago this past weekend which just goes to show the right kind of motivation can get things done.
But--I also have heard about some suspensions, more talk about the reffs, PRO and con, (a little joke there, somewhere) and the like. So what's the word? I want names, I want details and I want 'em now. Who's with me and who's gonnna help us out?

Pro refs being below par.......
Unfortunately I have to say that so far I've been more impressed with the reffing done by the top Am teams, than that done by the Pros. I won't mention names, but a certain much vaunted Pro team was really not doing much of an effort in Amsterdam.

Buddha - I think that Baca is talking about the PRO ref's that Bill C is running for the NPPL/PSP ... and everything I've heard suggests that they suck, but people always complain about the ref's so I take it with a grain of salt. Anyone have any first hand experience?

Also podbitch.com is reporting the Scottie Flint was ejected from Chicago - for reasons unspecified. Anyone know what went down?

+ There are unconfirmed rumors that Robbo himself may replace Bill C at head of the PRO and Ultimate for NPPL (on podbitch again) ... care to confirm or deny Robbo?

I have heard 2 versions.

1 is that Scottie was caught wiping while on field and Cookston shouted at him from the sidelines, he was pulled. After the incident Scottie went over to the Score table and started having a hissy fit and threw chairs around.

2 Scottie didn't even play but got angry at a call made on one of his players (Texas Storm?) and then did the whole hissy fit at the score table.

But other things seemed to be done well, not least scheduling - Jerry, what was the new system as I hear it was by hand and not a program?

I was talking about Cookston's PRO refs--many of whom are former long time players so exactly what the complaints relate to is hard to judge. Most of what I've heard tends toward strict enforcement of rules. Also, lots of complaints about Cookston himself. Seems like someone who is more decision and obviously in command would be beneficial.
Yeah, heard the same Flint stuff but apparently the altercation was with a Sharpshooters players and is a carry over of some bad blood in Colorado where Scotty and the Sharpshooters are from.
Only suspension I can confirm is a Static player got a gun tossing suspension in the semi's and they played the finals with 9 guys.
Also heard Jerry's schedule missed the mark in a couple of instances--the Hurricanes, a ranking Nov team, captained by the PSP's prize coordinator had two Rookie teams in their prelim schedule and no Pro team. If it's true that don't look so good.
