sorry, i'm going to take this thread off course for a minute,

Whatever the lighting conditions used for this test, it really shows off the paint! If you were ever going to televise paintball, and have people actually be able to see the paint, these exact lighting conditions would be ideal. Using a paint that reacts to the lighting conditions to make it more visable is paramount to being able to follow the game. Imagine looking at a whole field view of the game and seeing beams of brightly colored paint racing across the field like tracer bullets?

I think televised paintball should be played indoors, with the correct lighting, on that new ActionTurf that the NPPL has. Stadium style like Hockey or basket ball. Out doors in broad daylight it's too hard for spectators to follow the paint!

Nice video, well presented, what you expect from WDP really. Nice to see they've put an ACE in an angel now, about time really.

I think the light showing the paint has to do with the fact that there looks like there is a viewing gallery to the right of the screen. So light coming into the range from there hits the ball and makes it standout against the black background. I think it's got more to do with the bright colour of the paint against the dark background than the actual lighting... I can see where you're going with this but... How many paintball fields have a black backdrop... Not many.

But yes. It does look good.:)
