Just speculation here and it would in reality im sure be extremely difficult to do and more than likely change nothing

A yellow/red card - warning type situation. This would only work in structured leagues and not just a one - off tourney

Still have the 1-4-1, 2-4-1, 3-4-1, rules in place. But if you are caught blatantly cheating i.e. a wipe or board setting w/e. The ref "issues" a yellow card as it were. If caught a second time then its red and a 1 match/tourney suspension. and then maybe such as in football 5 yellows and a ban 10 yellows and a ban.

Now the problem here is how do you keep track of such things hence my first sentence stating it extremely difficult to do.

my useless 2pence worth
You'd have nobody left playing the game, its bad enough at the moment as it is!!!
Funny thing is so many people seem to think the 'pros' cheat the most. Total misconception. The best refs make it nigh on impossible to get away with cheating now. Put one of these players at a generic sunday tournament and im sure they'll find a way to get away with things, but thats just down to the refs as Buddha says. With the rules as they are now, most players at a Millennium or similar are almost scared of playing on and soon gain supersonic hearing which picks up even the slightest glance of their pack etc

Wiping is not cool, i have to admit that i have done it ONCE times when playing rental with my mates(I had been shot within a min in the first three games >:/ so in the third i wiped.... then went on to get 7 out of 9 kills :D )

but now i play walkon, i don't... because i'm hitting more people and i realise that its annoying if they don't go out, i had to hit this guy 10 times to make him go out once... a few probably bounced, but he wiped at least 2.

Well I don't think I’ve ever seen anyone wipe as I’m always having the crap shot out of me or shooting the crap out of someone else. I have seen other means of cheating tho were dead team members stand at the side and point people out.

I only really play woodsball and I don't care if I win a game or loose, it’s just a right laugh playing. I can see the point why people would cheat at games were you get prizes but not on a walkon day were there’s nothing to gain.

I did once stop in a game after being shot as I tried to put my hands up and walk off and someone shot me about 10 times in both hands and wrists lol. I did walk off when I could tho and didn’t shoot back.

Each to there own tho but I don’t think I would be happy with myself knowing I’ve won a game by cheating.

S****horpe ... gah
i will freely admit right now that i have cheated in woodsball when i first started out as a punter but i agree totally that when playign against retals i dont mind going out when im shot as it does make the punter who did it feel really good about themselves.

as most of you will agree if when you started as a punter and you saw any of us lot in full gear you get a little intimidated and you are really pleased when you shoot out a "pro".

as for sup air i have only ever played a few times. but i have NEVER cheated in it as i dont see the point.

ide much rather lose like a gentlemen then win like a chav.

besides theres too harsh a penalties for it in a game and all you will do is let your self down, let your team down, and possibly let tehe field down. ha im punny

theres a too little sportsman ship in all sport now.

I would rather lose graciously and be able to shake a opponents hand then cheat and get called "a cheating F**kbag" anyday.

Totally bro, we've all stood around watching a game and heard people talking crap about whoever's playing and how they're all cheaters etc. I don't want people to talk about me that way. I'd much rather have my team be seen as the dudes who play fair and have a laugh than the phalluses who came first and sleep all alone with an old fleshlight by the bed. Saying that, however, I may have slid off a potential hit on my way into my primary, who knows

ID cards and linking with UKPSF membership is a good idea - but...

Who the hell is going to do all the administration work? Then, who's going to police it? Maybe one for the 'Feds' :p?

Cheating will go on and get worse until there is a 'Qualified Paintball Marshals' scheme. I know Russ tried something like this a while back - but I don't think anyone is now doing any kind of marshal training at all.

So, is the answer to create a new scheme - specifically to train the marshals all about how to spot cheating - and, more importantly, how to punish it?

I, for one, would love to see something like this - then maybe we could start to get ourselves more organised - and head towards that paintball utopia known as "sport".
