I bought an Orracle and my Brother in law bought a Black Magic, both are from worr game products, they are the guys that made the first autocockers. www.worr.com. There are tonnes of other makers of "cockers". The nice thing about autocokers are that they can be easily upgraded or modified with aftermarket parts from all sorts of makers. The base model of cocker will run you about $350US. Its also a good way to start using cockers and then you will get to know what you like, which will help you to choose your next gun without getting into the huge debate over "which gun should I buy?", try an entry level one first and choose your next gun through your own experience. Then the choice between wgp, dye, shock,... etc will be a little easier.

im not ripping on cockers or anything so noby flip out on me, this is just my opinoin. im taking in that he isnt exactly the best paintballer in the world, im not saying that i am or anything, but why would you get a cocker if your just getting into paintball. the guns only as good as the player. its not like he'll be a superstar after he gets it. you could invest in a spyder or jt and upgrade it as yo get better and better. theonly problem with the jt is that all there guns arent made consistanty. you could buy 5 of the same ones and 3 would start leaking on you and the other two would work perfectly. thats what happeed to me. it only took 1 week of harrasing JT that they sent me a new one. thats just my opinion though, test as many markers as you cn possibly find and make a decision.

yer but even the most upgraded spyder etc will be nowhere near as good as a cocker with the same amount of cash spent on it

Ohhhh mannnnnn.. I can see it now, its happening... this is going to turn into a cocker vs. spyder thread.

The only advice I can give you dohhhhh6 is this. I started playing 2 years ago, rec ball, in the woods, farms, etc. not speedball. I fell in love with the game as I am sure you have also. I started with a spyder but I quickly added a freak kit (ball breaks ruin your day) and then HPA, since we had scuba tanks at the locations we played at. After one season, and my self decided christmas present to myself, I bought an orracle. I did it because, I wanted to. Would an entry level cocker been good enough, yes. The guys I play with have baseline cockers, and they seem to shoot as good as my orracle. They are very happy with them. What the senior guys say about the marker not making a player good is completely true. My brother (soccer player) spent one day taking out guy after guy and being the last man standing for most of the games with a plastic marker he bought at walmart for $59.99. He now has a E99 spyder and is quite happy with it and is not talking about upgrading. But getting back to myself if I could have gone back in time to when I bought my spyder, and knowing what I know now, I would have bought an entry level cocker, with the freak and HPA and I probably would not be able to justify to myself spending any more money on another marker.

Cockers rule no dowt!! well against spyders ne way. But a good entry level marker, lemme think....... well the Angel LCD 2003 are wicked for their price, but yet again it might be to steep for you i mean if i werent getting an x-mag i would have one. If you go to www.ebay.co.uk and type, 'angel paintball' in the search bar theres one for sale, dust black or blue for a price of 699.99. But the only thing i can suggest to you for around 400 quid is an Impy. Which is bog standard with no fading, only black from PlanetEclipse.com. Another thing i would suggest is a WGP 2003 autococker around 300 pounds. Later you can upgrade it rather than buy a brand new gun altogether. Im sure guys on here know alotttttttt about cockers as i dont and could give ya tips, and where to buy upgrades.

The best thing to do is try em out see which is to your likeing. But if ya want that Angel i would go and buy it now cos after mensioning it on here it will be gone.
