I would liek to know what the cheapest NEW good entry level marker is. As some might know I've looked at Tippmans and Spyders but have recently started to reconsider. I want something that I can play rec ball with whenever. Plus why spend a lot of money on a gun that you will end up upgrading to a much better one in a few months? Now I do somewhat agree that a good gun would make me less frustrated probably but whatever. I would just liek to know the best cheapest entry level marker out there.

Well,
It's been said before, but opinions are like *insert both gender compatible body part here*, everybody's got one. You will get many responses, recommending many markers, but you ultimately must choose one that's right for you. The cheapest new markers that I can think of are basically limited to spyders and spyder clones. If you plan on upgrading soon anyway, you might want to have a look at the Dragun line. They have markers starting at $89. They're spyder clones with electronic grip frames, they use a 9volt battery, they're cheap, they're fast, and anyone with experience with spyders can work on them. If you're looking for something even cheaper, spyder targas and spyder ones are going for around $40-50 at most online paintball stores these days. They're not pretty, they're not electronic, and they don't have a bottom line.

Of them all, I'd recommend the Dragun, because they're identical in parts and operation to any spyder, and they're fast. But, I must once again refer you to the "opinions are like *both gender compatible body part*; everybody's got one" philosophy

Can I make a polite suggestion here, go find out a little more about what you want.

The advice you have been given above IS for a semi-automatic paintball marker, the Dragun series just happen to have an electronic grip frame that make them easier/faster to fire.

Go out and get a copy of what Paintball Gear 2003 and read its reviews of the different basic markers and then go try some out.

Frankly mate, (and no offence intended), comments like the one above just show you don't really have a clue about markers and you need to get a better idea on what's out there and what you want before you make a purchase you'll regret.

get a stock 2003 autococker.
Run it off co2 and get a 12 volt revolution.

If you want something cheaper than that there's a million different types of spyders that shoot ok, but for a bit more you can get the cocker and you may never need to buy another gun.

I agree with Red_Merkin. I started with a spyder shutter, cost about $200US. I added HPA, A freak kit and a Evlution loader. But i was never happy with the way it shot. I tried a black magic at the field and fell in love with it. The stock autocockers also shoot great and so if you go with their base model you may still have some money for the extra things that will make your system good, then as you play more you may upgrade to one of the more expensive cockers.

yo, i had a spyder shutter too, it was gash!
i'll never buy anything from Kingman again. They just feel so cheap.

Besides if you get a gun you like and keep upgrading it, it becomes something you love an cherish for all of your paintballing days.

I'm a little confused. There are so many autocockers! Like 6 or 10 different people have them! Which person's autocockers are you talking about?
