I got over a thousand o-rings from www.mcmaster.com

They are a US company, but have no problems shipping over here, I've got enough o-rings to rebuild my Proto (literally) 100 times over, all for about £30.

Well worth a look.....:)

I understand that there are different materials (ie: Nitrile,Urethane, etc.) and different hardnesses (ie: Durometer 70, 90, etc.). In my previous post I should have clarified that, but I was thinking in regards to to the most commonly used o-rings.

Personally i can't see why people are shipping o rings from the states?
Pick up the yellow pages and look for something like "seals and gaskets", british industry uses o rings by the billion so finding a supplier on your local industrial estate shouldn't be a problem.
A company i use down in the south east are really good, http://www.sampsons.co.uk/ all sizes and types available.;)
