London prices, nuff said.

Try Tokyo 7 quid a beer. nice. Fiver for a bag of school girls pubic hair though. How strange.

Anyway, if you fly into Torp, you could get Sherberts. Ryan Air doing it for 101 quid return out of Stansted at the mo!!!!!

Beer is what, £2.80 a pint in London now in pubs, its certainly £3.50 to £4.00 in late places and more if you buy bottles.

The beer in Norway is more than that - and wine is prohibitively expensive.

A burger cost near enough £6 (no fries, just the burger) last time I went. It may be cheaper in Maccys of course.

Food in supermarkets is 'reasonable' though you soon get tired of processed cheese and ham products and pickled fish.

Good place to go though, just dont think you'll have any money left at the end of the trip!!

Mark, strange that you should pick "The Axe" in Shoreditch as the basis for London beer prices ;)

Hmmm, I suppose it depends upon the venue, but can think of a few venues near me that charge well over the 3:50 mark. Our local den of inequity, charges 4:50 for tart fuel (Smirnoff Ice), despite being full of Essex Girls of illrepute.

I suppose the best solution is:

1) Buy a couple of bottles of Grey Goose / Absolute Vanilla / Smirnoff Black Label from Duty Free and drink before you go out
2) Don't drink at all.

Anyway, aside from the minor issue of drink prices, flying into Torp is reasonable in comparison, and certainly handy for those near Stansted.
