There is absolutely no point in creating this New World Order and then at the first opportunity we get, departing from the industry standard format...
I don't think anybody is suggesting we run our own format.... but we might just be able to come up with some changes in little old Europe, that would improve on the current X-Ball Lite format (if that is indeed what will be suggested at the meeting at the end of the month).

BTW - I've e-mailed Keely - asking what the word is on coaching and firing mode this year, so I'd expect her to either post in here or e-mail me back.

Nick, you are really missing the point here if you think 'little tweaks' can be adopted by us on the premise you think they are better.
I could think of a whole host of things our FA could do to improve our national game of soccer but it should never be done outside of FIFA for obvious reasons.
Let's not be silly here.

I don't quite understand what you are on about Pete?

I am STILL not suggesting we do something different - but rather that the MS and PSP might jointly adopt a good idea!

I was under the impression the CPL captains would be voting on a new format - or at least have some say in it.... why else bother with the meeting at all? - It is just a glorified booze up and nothing more?

I at least think the captains going to that meeting, will expect to be given some form of influence - or will feel it is a complete waste of time (apart from Agge apparently buying everyones beer - please keep him away from aeroplanes ;))

I would also assume the PSP will not just dictate what the new "world format" is going to be - but in fact listen to the needs, wants and ideas of their European partners.

As such, I think THIS is the time for constructive input - rather than just leaning back and rolling with whatever bright idea someone may have across the Atlantic.

Nick, what I am saying is quite simple and I can't really make it any simpler for you so I'm at a loss as to why you should have a problem with it.
