can you use vasaline as lube?

Whilst were on this subject...
I bought a bottle of Extreme Rage synthetic marker oil the other day and i'm wondering if this would be ok to use it on my angel speed 04 instead of wdp love juice, on the bolt and all the bits and peices the manual says to add a couple of drops of love juice to. I think its similar stuff and should be ok, but i thought it'd be best to check here first and make sure.

Yes, you can use ER oil on your angel. But you need to re-read the manual before you go doing that - you DO NOT want to put ANY oil or grease on your bolt: it's meant to run dry. A couple of drops in the macroline every 2-4 cases of paint is sufficient, and grease service every 8 or so cases.

Actually, what is all this about not lubing derlin bolts?

Mine has been lubed for almost 2 months now.. and theres no swelling or anything wrong with it.. Running just fine.

Although lube in the macroline? I swear I was told somewhere pressure + lube = bad? Isn't that why you dont put it into air tanks?

I have a SP Impulse if that makes any difference...

In an air bottle aye, but the pressure in your marker's not high enough to cause issues

Also...it has been levied by Planet, that lubing teh bolt, can help keep teh eyes clean and does no harm to the bolt whatsoever.

You don't have to Lube up after every use, but every now and again would be good.
